What is the First West Counseling Center?

As a ministry of First West, the First West Counseling Center provides affordable, professional Christian counseling to Northeast Louisiana and surrounding communities. You can learn practical methods to heal and grow through life’s difficulties and how to achieve a wholeness that is based on a right relationship with God and others. We strive to provide our clients with an atmosphere of hope, healing, and restoration.

Sessions are about one hour long. The frequency of sessions is subject to the therapist’s recommendation and the client’s preference. We charge a flat rate of $55.00 per session. Our sessions are scheduled by appointment only, so please call our office so that we can reserve a time for you. You do not have to be a member of First West to receive services from First West Counseling Center. All services are confidential within the limits of the law. All counseling will adhere to a professional code of conduct and ethics.

In an effort to make the First West Counseling Center accessible to as many people as possible, we do not bill insurance. Our services are offered at an affordable price, eliminating the need for clients to utilize their health insurance. Please keep in mind that in order for a client to use his/her insurance for counseling, they are required to be diagnosed with some form of mental illness/disorder. However, for those clients who would choose to use their insurance, there is an option available on-site. Contact our office for further details.
