Todd Sherwin
Director of Counseling - LPC-S, LMFT
Todd joined the First West Counseling Center team in 2002 and serves as Director. He holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. Todd is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), an LPC Supervisor (LPC-S), and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Todd provides counseling to adults and couples for a wide range of issues through individual counseling and family therapy. In his spare time, Todd enjoys various outdoor pursuits, sports, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Taylor Lollis
Office Manager
Taylor joined the First West Counseling Center team in 2018 and serves as the Office Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog.

Mark DeBord
LCSW, Social Worker
Mark joined the First West Counseling Center team in 2005. He holds a Masters in Social Work from Louisiana State University. He retired from the LA Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) where he worked for 31 years. Mark completed the Associate Fellow (1992) and supervisory requirements of the Albert Ellis Institute (1996) and uses REBT in his clinical work. He is a Board Approved Supervisor (BACS) for licensure as an LCSW and is available to provide supervision. Additionally, he is a Certified Trainer with Better Outcomes Now – Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS) and is available to provide training and implementation consultation. Mark is our on-site insurance option and accepts most major insurances. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, participating in and leading Bible Study, and time with his family.

C.J. Beck
MA, LPC, LMFT, Counselor
C.J. joined the First West Counseling Center team in 2010. He holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northeast Louisiana University. C.J. is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In addition to counseling, C.J. works full-time as a Captain in the Community Police Division and Public Information Officer with the West Monroe Police Department. In his spare time, C.J. enjoys cooking, public speaking, watching baseball, and spending time with his family.

Stephen Fife
PLPC
Stephen joined the First West Counseling Center team in 2019. He is a volunteer firefighter and has been a pastor for more than 20 years. Stephen holds a Masters of Divinity from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University. Stephen provides counseling and spiritual direction to adults, couples, teens, and children for a wide range of issues. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, rucking, exercising, traveling, and spending time with his wife and children.
Kaitlin Ganey
PLPC
Kaitlin holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and has extensive experience working with individuals across the lifespan, from adolescents to older adults, as well as couples and families. She is passionate about supporting individuals in their journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth and specializes in working with diverse populations facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. “I believe growth happens in the space where client’s feel safe and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly and non-judgmentally, and I strive to assist clients toward gaining insight, developing coping strategies, and cultivating resilience as they navigate life’s challenges.” In her spare time, Kat can likely be found getting lost in a book or two, baking, or spending time outdoors with her husband, kids and pups.
Katie Brandon
PLPC
Katie joined the First West Counseling Center in 2023. She holds aA in Human Development and Family Science from Louisiana Tech University and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Katie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in Louisiana and works with a variety of clients and presenting problems. Katie values a collaborative relationship with clients and favors a cognitive-behavioral approach. She is also trained in an evidence-based type of therapy called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is used to assist individuals dealing with all types of trauma or PTSD. Katie’s strengths and interests lie in the mind body connection. She favors a holistic approach to treatment and addresses clients as a “whole” by considering one’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.
Calley Reed
PLPC
Calley began working with the First West Counseling Team in May of 2023 as an intern. She is wrapping up her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling with Liberty University this May (2024). Upon completion of her master’s degree, she will be a provisionally licensed professional counselor (PLPC). She provides counseling to children, adolescents, and marriage and family therapy. Calley enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling and camping, missions, and playing her guitar.
